Marilynn Dawson Blog Tour
Welcome to our blog stop on the Google Play Winter Giveaway! Author Marilynn Dawson has giving away one PDF copy of her books each week with the final draw happening this Sunday on January 26th. This Giveaway is in celebration of her next release, Dressed for Eternity, which will launch in February 2014. You can read a sample of that book here.
Today, we get to feature Marilynn's graduation gift: Mom's Little Black Book: Godly Advice for the High School Graduate. The back cover of "Mom's Little Black Book" has this to share:
"So, like, what’s a budget? Ew! A stray cat just dropped a dead mouse at my feet! Go to church? But I don’t know anyone there! What does it mean when the expiry date is like, two days ago?
Help your High School Graduate start out on the right foot with a few tidbits of Godly advice.
Originally written for my own graduating teenagers. It is my hope this will bless you and your graduating youth as well."
As our youth graduate high school and head out into the world, many parents wonder if they've done all they can. Is there one more thing we can do before our youth spread their wings and fly the coop? Is there one more bit of advice we can offer to ensure that they'll be equipped for the road ahead? The answer is YES!
This little book is meant to be a Mother's attempt at guiding her graduating teenager through some of the more common aspects of daily life. Among its pages are quotes from a much more comprehensive guide, otherwise known as the Bible!
God says to raise up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. God also urges parents to ensure that their children, like arrows from a quiver and placed in the bow-string, fly straight and true. May these tidbits of advice help your child to fly straight and true as they go out to become all that God created and designed them to be.
You are welcome to read an excerpt from Mom's Little Black Book: Godly Advice for the High School Graduate at this here.

Character Interview: Peyton Everet
Name: Peyton Everet
Age: 23
What book/s are you in? Shrouded Jewels and As Fairydust Settles. Maybe someday I'll get my own.
Where do you work? At the gas station near me. Lame, right?
Where do you live? A suburb of Minneapolis.
Favorite place to relax: Anywhere outside.
Who is your significant other? Don't have one...yet.
Who would you like it to be? Oh, I think she knows.
Why do you act so cocky? It's better than the alternative.
What is your greatest dream? To be the person everyone believes I am.
